Ministry Team

The Rev. Shelly Pollard

Our Incumbent

Rev. Shelly graduated from the MDiv Pioneer Program at Wycliffe College in 2018, and was ordained Deacon that same year. Shelly completed her curacy at St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church, where she was ordained Priest in 2019. She has served at a variety of places, including her home church Trinity Aurora, and also at Flemingdon Park Ministry and St. James the Apostle-Sharon, and St. Peter and St. Simon the Apostle.

Shelly is very excited to join the community of St. Martin’s and to see where God is leading us together.

The Rev. Richard Newland

Our Honorary Assistant

Richard has retired from full-time parish ministry and is pleased to act as an Honorary Assistant in this parish. Ordained in 1985, he has accomplished much over the course of his career, all of which has been within the Diocese of Toronto. He holds various degrees and certifications in the fields of counseling, bereavement, and Neuro-Linguistics, and is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. He focuses his energies on quality and engaging homiletics, supporting individuals to achieve their full potential, and providing ongoing bereavement support groups locally. He loves to be involved in theatre, both community-based and professional, as well as reading, model railroading, and in the summer months riding his Harley motorcycle!
